Reception

When patients arrive at SWLEOC on the day of their surgery, they are met by the SWLEOC Reception team. Their arrival is staggered based on the time of their surgery and as determined by the Pre-theatre team.

The Reception Team admit the patient into the Centre and confirm patient details on Patient Manager and Bluespier are correct. This includes personal demographics, ethnicity, next of kin details and GP details.

The Pre-theatre team contact the Reception Team to let them know that they are ready to receive the patient. The Reception Team then accompany the patient to the Theatre Suite.
