As the infrastructure of any organisation develops, documentation is generated, modified and updated to reflect the changing activities and processes that the organisation undertakes. While documentation presented in the links below is specific to SWLEOC, the material should provide an indication of the different areas that new hub sites should consider, and the content of the documents may prove helpful to guide development of local agreements and procedures.

We note that practice does change over time and some documents may reflect procedures that have become out-dated or redundant. Nevertheless, the range of activities addressed in this section should provide a framework and an indication of the topics that may need to be documented.

New elective hubs will need to interact with partners, host Trusts and suppliers. The Service Level Agreements (SLAs) provided in this section offer templates for developing these relationships. In practice, some relationships will be determined by local processes and specific SLAs may never be needed. The IT support provided to SWLEOC from the host Trust is one such example and the need for SLAs will be different at each facility.
